Hello sir my b.tech completed in 2016. My icet rank is 13800 which can choose Better (MBA &MCA) SIR 2 years gap in my career it's better time for MBA or not.

B.Tech stands for Bachelor of Technology. This is a 4 year Bachelor level course being offered by number of colleges in India.

It is good that you have completed your B.Tech in EEE. You will be eligible to get good number of job opportunities in top companies with this qualification itself.

You can try for the same and join the one which best suits you.

Having not interested in job opportunities, you can go for higher studies.

The courses which will be good for you at Post Graduation level are
MCA
MBA

MCA stands for Master of Computer Applications. This is a 3 year technical related stream where as MBA stands for Master of Business Administration. This is a 2 year Management related course.

The admission for both the courses will be given on the basis of performance in the Entrance Exam.

Popular Entrance Exams that give admission for MBA course are
CAT
MAT
GMAT
XAT etc.

To give admission for MCA course, each and every university will conduct its own Entrance Exam.

You can choose the one which you are interested and where your strengths are being fully utilized.

From my side, MCA will not be a good choice for you as you don't have prior computer knowledge at your academic levels.

Go for MBA with any of the following specializations.

MBA in Operations Management
MBA in Human Resource Management
MBA in Logistics Management etc.

Hi my name is Mrinmoy, B.tech (Food Technology). I like to work in IT fields but as I am Food Technologist so here I'm facing many problems to get a job in IT. So should I go for MCA ? Means is it good to opt MCA after B.tech???

MBA Arena is better to towards your career path the reason are B.TECH

Degree such a Accloade Degree great weightage your career .

so if you are going to begin a business portals ..choose MBA Line its might be

helpful to identify you business needs and wants also good broad business

mind you have earn from mba courses

that is the best career path of all engineering graduation people rather than

M.TECH or MCA

dear friend,
As you have done B.Tech in 2007 with EEE stream then why you are interested in MCA because MCA is equivalent to B.Tech in CSE/IT.

But if you are interested in software field then you can do MCA, but i suggest you to do MBA apart from MCA.
Because after MCA most of the student are interested in MBA .
& now a days the market of MBA is very booming & candidate with B.Tech+MBA is very much demanded, so it better fro you to do MBA.

& for MBA you have to appear in many exams like CAT,MAT,XAT etc.
kindly take preparation very well for these exams & after getting good percentile you will get a chance to take admission in various reputed institutes like IIM,XLRI,FMS etc.

You background is based on Science field and you want to take Admission in to a commerce field which is quite difficult for you

but if you want to take admission in MBA then there are various specialization as follow :

There are major three specialization :
1- Marketing
2- Finance
3- HR(Human Resources)

Other various option

1- Operation
2- Computer
3- System Management
4- Airport Management
5.- Information Systems
6- Hospital Administration & Health Care Management
7- General business management
8- International business
9- Organizational behavior
10-Operations management
11-Retail management
12-Entrepreneurship

These are the various specialization in MBA

My personal suggestion to you is take Computer As your specialization

Dear freind,
After complteting your B.TECH you should go for the MBA.
After B-tech MBA is better one when compared to MCA now a days many of good mnc's are giving more preference to MBA and for MBA job opportunity is more so you can get job easily........if you get good college means you will get job through campus interviews only.........and if you are not in good colleges so don't worry you will get good job on your qualification.

Its better to go with the MBA after your B.tech.

As you are from electronics its better to go with MBA because MCA is related to computers.

Well if you choose that good luck to you but i know you are not a B.tech pass out becoa no B.Tech pass out would even think that he would do MCA after B.tech , only mads would do that . if u belongs to computer background then there are good chance in mca but u have gap also so i suggest u to do mba because after mba there is a lot of opportunities in public or private sector.

first of all i said that both course are different form technical in whic streem you pass b.tech.
because MBA is a management course & MCA is related to computer.
but if you want to choose them then you choose MBA else you want to go in M.Tech in EEE

Being a EE engineer mostly you will get offers from Core Companies, where generally MCA is of no use.

So, I think MBA will be better for you as compared to MCA.

Better you can switch to MBA with specialisation in any one of the followings:-

Operation

IT

System

Marketing

I think its better to go for MBA after taking b-tech in EEE stream.MCA will be more hard to you because you have to work more on computer application side.
If you have a good knowledge in computer application side ,then you can opt for MCA. Finally ,its up to you to take a decision on your career, no one outside can't realize you as you realize yourself.So think on that and hear your mind's voice

Being a btech student i would like to advice u to go for MBA. As MCA and btech graduation degrees has almost equivalent value. And marketing is again rising up, management career is getting better so u can pursue ur MBA from the following specialisation streams:

Already you have technical degree so there is no need to do MCA , you should go for

MBA. You should labour hard and try to take admission in IIMs and top B-school of india.

EEE is one of the evergreen or core stream in engineering,
MBA and MCA are totally different way in study,if you have interest in
computer then you may go for MCA,

But according to me,as you are a student of core stream,there are so many
ways if you choose MBA,

there are some specialization courses in which you can get good
opurtunities in job.
some fields are as follows:MBA in Marketing,
MBA in System,
MBA in production,
MBA in operation etc...

as you are a b.tech eee enginneer i think its better to opt mba rather than mca.
Because mca is completely different shade from what you have learnt till now.
If you do mba you can get some management skills which you can use in your core companies also.

MBA can give you a managerial career. If you wish to build up an IT career MCA will be useful. Both the fields have vast opportunities. Today MCAs and MBAs are in great demand. You can choose any course in which you are interested.

As you are electrical engineer MCA is useless for you. so better to go for MBA as compared to MCA.
But in my opinion M.Tech is the best option for you. Otherwise you can go for many government as well as private sectors jobs.

It is much obvious for me that since you are a 2007 passout you would probabily in a job right now and gained some experience. It is much better to do MBA at this stage of life because every technical job turns towards a management career after some time. It would give you better industry exposure. Doing MCA is worthless , atleast for a EEE graduate.

after btech you can join either for mba or mtech.its according to your interest.going for mca ,i dont think its a right choice.mba adds extra credit to your engineering skills with managerical skills.mtech helps to continue to be in your stream with specialisation in your subject.

MCA and MBA both these branches are totaly different from your EEE....So if you want to have applications of what you have studied...I suggest...you go for M.tech...otherwise MBA is always a better option...
