Re: Can I give SLET/NET test after passing MSc computer science, MCA in distance education from MD university Rohtak Yes you are eligible to appy to NET/SLET Exams after completing your post-graduation in distance education mode from a recognised University. NET stands for National Eligibility Test conducted by UGC. NET Exams are conducted 2 times a year i.e.in JUNE & DECEMBER. NET Exams are conducted for : -Lecturership -Junior Research Fellowship(JRF) For JRF candidates have to enroll for P.hd degree within 2yrs and UGC pays stipend to candidates during this period. SLET Exams are conducted by State Govt. or agencies authorised on behalf of State Govt. based on UGC Guidelines.It conducted for lecturership only. Eligibility for NET/SLET Exams : Educational Qualification: A Post graduation Degree with atleast 55 % marks in the subject candidate desires to appear in th NET/SLET Exams. SC/SC candidates have to score atleast 50 % in P.G. Final year P.G. candidates can apply on provision. Age Limit : Lecturership-No age limit JRF-21-28yrs Relaxation of age by +3yrs for OBC and by +5yrs for SC/ST candidates. For more details visit www.ugc.ac.in |
