After completing 12th you can do the graduation in any of these courses : B.Tech B.E B.Sc B.Com BBA BCA And after completing the graduation in any of the above courses,you can apply for the IAS exam. Well friend you are not eligible for ias civil services exam as you are a 12th pass out student.the minimum qualification required for the ias exam is graduation.so i will suggest you to do graduation first and then apply for the civil services exam. Civil services exam is conducted in three stages. Prelim exam mains exam interview age limit for the exam is 21 to 30 years.age relaxation of 3 years to obc and that of 5 years to sc/st is candidate is given.thank you |

Because you are not eligible to apply IAS exam after completed 12th. For apply IAS exam the minimum Education qualification is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. IAS exam is conducted by UPSC under Civil Services exam. Eligibility criteria:- Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years And SC/ST category candidates 5 years. Number of Attempts:- General category candidates - 4 time OBC category Candidates - 7 time SC/ST category candidates - No limit. IAS ------ Indian Administrative Service, This exam conducted by every year.UPSC Service are conduct this exam. This exam on 3 stages, totally 9 papers after you clear thease all papers. finally Interview there. Eligibility : candidates must be on Indian Citizen. candidates complete any one bachelor degree on recognized university. age between on 21---30 years. 3 years are relaxation for BC/MBCs. 5 years are relaxations for SC/STs. 10 years relaxation for physical ability candidates. |

Re: How can I become an IAS officer after 12th? thanks for your decision. because maximum students are noy interested in administrations fields. you can become an IAS officer after passing the of civil services exam which is conducted by UPSC every year. for that you have to complete your graduation. because the minimum eligibility criteria for this exam is pass in graduation with any discipline. after getting all India rank within 100 you can become an IAS officer. |

Hi There is no way , you can appear for IAS after 12th You need to have graduation before you apply As per the eligibility criteria for IAS, You should citizen of India Your age should be between 21 to 30 Age relaxation of 5 year is given to SC/ST and 3 year for OBC Since you have just completed your 12th, you have 3-4 to become 21. You can do your graduation and also prepare for IAS side by side No. of Attempts General Category can appear for IAS for 4 times OBC and handicapped can appear fro 7 times SC/ST dont have any limit on number of attempts If you want to prepare well then you should join any good IAS coaching in your prefinal year of graduation. I am not saying that coaching is mandatory, but its difficult to keep determination and manage time with graduation. All the best |

Then you give I.A.S exam.I told you I.A.S exam eligibility. Age Limit for IAS exams (civil services) - MINIMUM: 21 years General Category:30 years. Other Backward Classes (OBC):33 years. Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes:35 years. So, soon after the 10+2, it is not possible for you to become IAS. The eligibility criteria is as follows Academic qualification : bachelor degree from a recognized university. Age criteria : age of 21-30 years. The selection procedure will be by 1)CSAT - Civil services aptitude test 2)Main examination 3)Interview. The minimum qualification for IAS is minimum age is 21 years & a candidate must be graduate. A candidate in appearing can't seat in the exam of IAS. Educational Qualifications :- Bachelor’s degree(graducation) of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification . No. of permissible attempts :-for genrel 4 attempts, for OBCs 7 attemps and no limit for SCs/STs Some tips for become IAS:- you should 1. Read newspaper daily 2. read news magazines if possible 3. Make notes of your ncert books from class 6th to class 10th for all subjects geo for class 11th and class 12th as well history of class 11th atleast. 4. read GK books. 5. watching channels like discovery helps a lot in the long run. try to understand things, and work hard is the only mantra for success in IAS. Then you have to appear for the exam. |

This is a post which will make you as a district collector or will place you in administrative positions as a government employee. To become an IAS officer you must clear an exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission commonly called as UPSC. To appear in this exam you must have certain eligibility criteria. They are 1. You must be a citizen of India. 2. You must be a graduate of any discipline from a recognized university of India. 3. Your age must be above 21years and below 30years. Thus you can't become an IAS officer after 12th std. you must join in a graduation course which will be very easy for you to clear. So that you can prepare for the tough IAS exam. |

Age criteria:- 1.Candidates age should be in between 21-30 years. For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years. 2.Candidate must be a citizen of India. These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill. If you are interested for IAS, it is good to start preparation for Civil Service Exam from now onwards as this exam is very tough and competitive. First you complete your graduation degree course from any stream and after 21 years of age you can be eligible to appear for Civil Service exam. up to 30 years for four times.
