Re: What are the government jobs available for B.Tech students after completion of B.Tech? B.Tech holders can try for technical jobs in public/private sector. GATE qualified candidates can join with PSU in the role of 'Graduate Engineer Trainee'. Engineering graduates in civil, electrical, mechanical, or electronics engineering can join as professionals in engineering services sector. UPSC conducts ESE exam for selection process. IBPS often conducts entrance test for selection of candidates to 'Specialist Officer'. B.Tech holders can try for Officer level jobs in defense by qualifying CDS exam. |

But to get a government job...you need to appear for exams conducted by indian government...ies(indian engineering service) exam conducted by upsc... You have chance to get in: 1.ntpc 2.bhel 3.sail 4.bel 5.bsnl engineers of civil,mechanical,electronics,electrical can apply for this.... All the best..... |

The Union Public Service Commission [UPSC] conducts Indian Engineering Services [IES] Examination every year for recruitment of Engineers from various departments including Civil, Mechanical and Electrical.
