Students those have completed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics are eligible to become commercial pilot or pilot in Indian defence forces.

To become a pilot in Indian defence forces, candidates are required to appear for National Defence Academy (NDA) examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice in a year. Only male candidates are eligible to appear for this examination.

To become a commercial pilot, candidates are required to join any government or private aviation institute or flying club and undergo commercial pilot training course in order to obtain Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)/Private Pilot Licence (PPL).
