Re: How can I get government job after finishing ECE course? Electronics and Communication Engineers have several job opportunities in the government sector. You should start with the Public Sector Undertaking. Almost all the PSUs hire Electronics and Communication Engineers. Before you apply for the PSU job there are few things to remember. There is no common entrance exam. Each will conduct its own. So better start check the newspaper for notification regarding the exam. You can also visit the official website of a PSU to check the exam notification. Secondly you should also appear for GATE entrance exam. Some PSUs do not conduct written examination. Instead they ask for the GATE score. Which is why you must also appear for GATE. The GATE score is only valid for 2 years. PSU Eligibility 1. The candidate should have B.Tech degree. 2. Marks must be 60 percent. 3. Should clear all pending backlogs before applying. 4. There is a requirement of GATE score. 5. Age limit is 21 to 30 years. 6. Which is relaxed by 3 years for OBC. 7. And 5 years for SC and ST. List of PSU HAL DMRC HPCL IOCL BPCL Indian Railways BEL BHEL GAIL SAIL ONGC ECIL MTNL BSNL NALCO NTPC ISRO DRDO Alternatively you can also apply for the Indian Engineering Service. This is the entrance exam which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for the 4 branches of Bachelor of Technology. These branches are:- Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics and Communication Engineering IES Eligibility 1. You should be B.Tech degree holder. 2. There is no marks requirement. 3. Age should be 21 to 30 years as on January 1 of examination year. 4. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 5. While the relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST. |

Re: How can I get government job after finishing ECE course? Engineering/diploma holders in ECE can join PSU such as NTPC, BHEL, OIL, or GAIL. Engineering graduates can join to ‘Executive Trainee or Engineer Trainee’ profiles in PSU by qualifying GATE. In railways, they can join as Section Engineer or junior Engineer. Technical job positions in state/central government departments are applicable to them. Other than core jobs, you can try for Officer Roles in banking sector or defense. |

HI FRIEND ## There are several oppertunities for ECE graduates to get job in government sector ## You can apply for Assistant engineer/management trainee post in Core companies like BHEL,HPCL,NTPC,IOCL,GAIL,ONGC etc and to get this job,you should have atleast 65% of marks in engineering & you must secure good score in GATE examination ## You can also apply for government sector jobs like ~>Jobs in banking industry like CLERK,PO and SPECIALIST OFFICER posts ~>JTO post in telecom companies like BSNL,AIRTEL ~>Indian Engineering Services,Civil Services and Combined Defence Services examinations conducted by UPSC ~>Combined Graduate Level examination conducted by SSC ~>Group1,Group2 and Group4 examinations conducted by STATE PSCs ** ALL THE BEST ** |
