Re: What is the syllabus of Indian Air Force exam? If you want to join Indian Air Force after 12th then you have to give NDA exam. or If you want to join Indian Air Force after graduation then you have to give CDS exam . I atteched syllabus of both exam . it will help you. |

Syllabus Consists of (a) General Awareness – History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc. (b) Verbal Ability in English – Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary. (c) Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest. (d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability. Exam will be of 2 hrs Duration with Objective questions. Books you should refer Quant: R S Agarwal, GK & General Awareness – Material for IAS & CAT. |

Re: What is the syllabus of Indian Air Force exam? There are various entry points for career in Air Force. These are NDA exam, X & Y technical trade exam, CDS exam , AFCAT exam. As you might have forgot to mention the name of exam. I hope it must be X or Y trade exam, as none of other exam are conducted in July. So, is the exam structure and syllabus : The exam will consist of Mathematics & General ability test. Mathematics is related to what you have studied in 11th & 12th which includes Alzebra, Trignometry , Calculus , Probability. General ability includes english , physics, chemistry , general science , current affairs. Here is the detailed information : ENGLISH I. Comprehension A small passage followed by questions. 1. To judge comprehension 2. Drawing of inferences 3. Use of vocabulary II Composition 1. Agreement of subject with verb 2. Pattern of verb and their use. 3. Sequence of tenses. 4. Transformation of sequences-Compound, Complex, Simple, Negative, Affirmative. III Grammar 1. Spellings 2. Word formation 3. Antonyms and Synonyms 4. One word substitution 5. Correct usage of articles 6. Correct usage of Prepositions 7. Correct usage of adjectives-degrees of comparison 8. Correct usage of conjunctions IV. Idioms and Phrases 1. Use of simple idioms 2. Use of Common proverbs V. Direct / Indirect sentences : Narration change 1. Change of various types of sentences from direct to indirect form 2. Change of various types of sentences from indirect to direct form (B) Mathematics 21. Time, Distance and Speed 22. Percentage 23. Simplification of Numbers 24. Fraction 25. You have not mentioned the Proper exams name , Even you have not mention the Qualification but don't worry . You can join in Indian Air force exam after 12th standard through NDA exam and after graduation degree through CDS and AFCAT exam .
