Having completed your Graduation from Sikkim Manipal University, you are eligible to give IBPS Exams.

This university is a recognized one. Not only for IBPS Exam, you are eligible to apply for all the competitive exams on the basis of your Graduation.

IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.

Every year IBPS is conducting common written exams for the recruitment of following positions
Clerical Positions
Probationary Officers
on behalf of all public sector banks.

The selection procedure will include

Once you get through written exam, if your score is more than the cut off marks as per your category, then you will get a call for the Interview.

A mere good performance in the Interview will fetch you job opportunity in any of the public sector bank of India.

If you have scored 60% of marks in your Graduation, then you can apply for IBPS PO Exam.

For this academic year, the notification has not been released yet.

Re: Am I eligible for IBPS examination after graduating in Sikkim Manipal University distance education

You can most certainly apply for the banking exams conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services. You should not worry about the distance education degree. It will be accepted since your college is recognized.

Instead you should think about the exam to apply. Would you like to apply for the IBPS Clerk entrance exam or the IBPS Bank PO. It will depend on your percentage in graduation to determine the entrance exam for which you are eligible.

If you are eligible for both the exams, it is obvious to apply for the IBPS Bank PO entrance exam. The Bank Clerk exam is conducted twice a year. First time around in March and second time towards the end.

While on the other hand Bank PO is conducted just once. The criteria for both the exams is same. The only difference is percentage of marks required in graduation to apply for them.

IBPS Exams Eligibility

1. Both exams can be applied by Indian citizen.

2. You need bachelor's degree for the exams.

3. 60 percent marks for Bank PO.

4. No such criteria for the Bank Clerk.

5. Diploma or degree in Computers.

6. Otherwise Computer Science subject in 12th or college.

7. Person below 20 years can not apply for the exam.

8. The upper age limit is 28 years.

9. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

10. Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST.

11. PWD Relaxation: 10 years.
