HI FRIEND ## There are several oppertunities for mechanical engineering graduates to get job in government sector ## Mechanical engineering graduate can apply for GRADUATE TRAINEE post in core companies like ->HPCL ->IOCL ->GAIL ->BHEL ->ONGC etc and to get this job,you must have atleast 65% of marks in engineering & also you must secure good score in GATE examination ## Mechanical engineering graduate can apply for government sector jobs like ~>Assistant motor vehicle inspector and RTO posts ~>Indian Engineering Services,Combined Defence Services,Civil Services examinations conducted by UPSC ~>Jobs in banking field like Clerk,Probetionary Officer and Specialist Officer posts ~>CGL and HSL examinations conducted by Staff Selection Commission ** ALL THE BEST ** |

Re: What kind of job can we opt after B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering? Fresh engineering graduates in mechanical engineering have the option to PSU as Graduate Engineer Trainee, by qualifying GATE. Those with a minimum of 60% marks can join PSU such as BPCL and HPCL where as candidates with a minimum of 65% marks can join with firms like Power Grid or GAIL. The job profiles of Specialist officer or P.O in banking sector is suitable. Qualifying CDS exam helps aspirants to join to Officer positions in defense. ESE conducted by UPSC is suitable to find a rewarding career in engineering service sector. |

It involves mostly outside work unlike software jobs. If you have programming skill required by software companies then you can get a software job.
