Re: Am I eligible to do CA after graduation with 45% marks

Hi Friend....................

This course contain two ways of entries are there

1)Through the CPT,

2)Through the graduation

Through CPT

Qualification for CPT ;

You must have +2 (or) are equivalent to +2 course with any stream.

And no percentage is required for this course.

And no age limit also required

Through the graduation ;

For this you must have degree eligibility ;

As per the new rules of ICAI you can join in IPCC with the following qualification ;

If you belongs to commers background must have at least 55%.

And in case of Other graduations are must have at least60%.

If you have any above qualification you can join in IPCC course.

You must qualifing this IPCC both groups otherwise not eligible for forthere coursrs.

After this course you are eligible for CA final course

And you must qualifing this exam then only you will be a CA.

Yes definitely you're eligible for Foundation course but directly for Intermediate course as you scored low marks in graduation course.

Re: Am I eligible to do CA after graduation with 45% marks

Hi friend............

To become a Chartered Accountant (CA) you have to appear in below given exam.

Process:

CPT
PCC
Final exam.

Which any candidate who has passed 12th from a recognized Institute can register for the course.First you have to Qualifiy the CPT (Common Proficiency Test).
A candidate is eligible to register for the CPT after 10th standard but can appear at the examination only after appearing in the 12th examinations.

Step to become CA:

Step 1: Register for CPT after 10th CPT (Common Proficiency Test)

Step 2: Appear for CPT after writing 12th Exams

Step 3:Register for PCC after passing both CPT & 10 + 2 PCC (Professional Competency Course)

Step 4:Practical Training [for 3 ½ Years or As an Audit Clerk for 56 months],ITT (Information Technology Training) now (Appear for the PCE)

Step 5:Appear for PCE after completing 15 months of Training and ITT PCE (Professional Competency Examination)

Step 6:After Passing PCE and Completing Practical Training Appear for Final

Step 7:GMC (General Management & Communciation Skills)

Step 8:Pass Final And now Become an Associate Member

Final Step 9: CA (Chartered Accountant)

All the best............

Re: Am I eligible to do CA after graduation with 45% marks

You can apply for the Chartered Accountancy course. What you need to do is apply for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) which is the first stage for the entrance exam.

You can appear for the Common Proficiency Test in June or December. The marks in graduation will not be an issue. You can apply for the Common Proficiency Test after completing 12th standard.

CPT Exam Pattern

1. Fundamentals of Accountancy

2. Economics

3. Mercantile Law

4. Quantitative Aptitude

These 4 subjects mentioned above are divided into 2 groups. To clear the exam you must score 30 percent marks in each group. You will have to appear for CPT since you are not eligible for exemption.

Exemption is given to candidates who have scored 55 percent in commerce graduation or 60 percent in non commerce graduation courses. Since you only obtained 45 percent marks, you are not eligible for exemption.

After clearing the Common Proficiency Test you will have to register with ICAI for the IPCC course. This is the second stage of Chartered Accountancy course.

There are two groups of exams in IPCC as well. You can appear for the first group after 9 months of study. After which you will have to register for the articleship. The duration of which is 3 years.

During the articleship you can appear for the second group and at the same time you can also apply for the final course. But you should complete 30 months of articleship to apply for the final course.

dear aspirant

as you are graduate you are definitely eligible for charted accountancy course, but i am sorry to say you are not eligible for direct entry for ipcc,

so you will have to go for cpt exam , as per latest notification of icai commerce graduates are allowed direct entry to ipcc without clearing cpt if they have score minimum 55% in graduation and
at the same time for other than commerce graduates it is 60%

so as you have less than 55/60% you are not eligible for ipcc direct entry, you will have to go for cpt if you want to pursue ca course,

there is no age limit for ca course,

good luck

Re: Am I eligible to do CA after graduation with 45% marks

Hi,

Well, that's a separate thing. In order to become a CA, first of all you have to crack the entrance exam to get admission in this course.

After clearing the entrance exam you will get admission in IPCC.

After IPCC, you can register for the Articleship Training.

You should have to join the training campus for Practical training also, like:

1. Information Technology Training

2. General Management And Communication Skill Course.

For th ecompletion of your CA, you have to give the final exam in which you can participate at last six months of your training.

In this way you can become a CA. Here, the issue related to graduation degree doesn't matter. You can start this course after 10+2 and even after graduation also.

Wish you all the very best.

Re: Am I eligible to do CA after graduation with 45% marks

Yes you can do CA after Graduation but you have to clear CA CPT then only you can get to the next stage of CA.

As you have scored only 45% marks which will not make you eligible for CA IPCC directly.

There is rule in CA course that if one has got Graduation in Commerce with 50% or Graduation in non commerce with 60% can directly apply for CA IPCC.

If the Graduation percentage doesn't fulfill above criteria then you have to appear for CA CPT which is based on 12th class.

So as for now you have to start preparing for CPT which will be like an entrance exam for joining the CA IPCC.

CPT is Common Proficiency Test and it has objective type questions which belong to following sections:

-Accounting

-Mercantile Laws

-General Economics

-Quantitative Aptitude

You have to score the qualifying marks which will be 50% in this exam. If you do so you will be declared qualified and can register for CA IPCC.

So be prepared for the above subjects which will decide your progress for next stage for CA course.

Re: Am I eligible to do CA after graduation with 45% marks

yes, you are eligible to Chartered Accountancy.

But doing MBA from good institute is better option as CA could take at least 4/5 years of yours .

Whereas you can do MBA ( regular / correspondence ) in 2 years .

Minimum Eligibility for MBA

Graduation from recognized university.

you have asked for CA so, brief information about the course is given below.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY for CA

10+2 passed or equivalent qualification.

There are 3 stages in CA

• FOUNDATION
• EXECUTIVE
• FINAL

You have to start the course from foundation level as you have low marks in graduation.

Examinations of the course are conduct twice a year in may and june.

Admission is open through out the year.

This course has centers all over India , So you may find any center near your city .
