I am pursuing B.Com 2nd year Hello sir/madam, - The criteria is that you need to appear for the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) exam for an Income tax officer. The eligibilty to appear in this test is minimum graduation. This test is conduct once in a year. - The role of Income Tax Officer is not required to be explained. Income Tax officer collects taxes and take strong action against the tax evaders. He/She needs to act on any information on the possible evaders. - Eligibility 1. You should be of Indian origin. 2. A graduation degree in any stream. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. Final year students can also apply. - Age Limit 1. Your age should be 18 to 27 years as on July 1 of the exam year. - Upper Age Limit Relaxation 3 years relaxation for OBC 5 years relaxation for SC/ST - Exam Pattern The exam pattern of Income Tax Officer is little similar to Civil Service Exam. There are three stages: 1) Preliminary Exam : It is a qualifying exam that contains 2 papers of 100 marks each. a) General Intellegence and General Awareness b) Arithmetic 2) Main Exam :After clearing preliminary you will have to appear for Main Exam that contains total of 5 papers. a) General Studies b) English c) Arithmetic d) Language e) Communication Skill and Writing 3) Personality Test : Those who will also clear the main exam will be called for a personal interview. Re: What is the qualification for income tax officer? I am pursuing B.Com 2nd year Hi, Income Tax Department jobs at officer level through exam conducted by SSC. This Exam is called Combined Graduate level exam. Eligibility for this Exam is Graduation pass in any stream AGE- Minimum 18 years Maximum 27 years 3 years age relaxations for OBC candidates, 7 years for SC/ST candidates Tier 1 Exam of the SSC Combined Graduate level will be held on 14th April 2013 and 21st April 2013. You will get anyone of the dates. Notification and advertisement will come out on 19th January 2013 So, if you meet the above eligibility than you should start preparing for this Exams This exam is held in Three Stages: Tier1, Tier 2 and Interview You would be tested into the below sections in the written exams: >> General Intelligence and Reasoning >> General Awareness >> English Comprehension >> Quantitative Aptitude All the best.......................... |

Educational qualifications: Bachelors Degree Pass in any stream No Minimum Percentage is required in Graduation AGE- Minimum 18 years Maximum 27 years OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations Next Tier 1 Exam of the SSC Combined Graduate level will be held in May 2014 Notification and advertisement will come out in Jan 2014 Questions will be asked from the Below Sections in this Exams: >> English Comprehension >> General Awareness >> Quantitative Aptitude >> General Intelligence and Reasoning |
