There is a lot of advancements and research happenings in this area in India and Abroad. ***Some of the fields that hire biochemists more frequently: Pharmaceuticals Lab Equipment Manufacturers Food Manufacturing firms Agrochemical farms Biotechnology firms , etc ***Job career in Private sector: There are score of private firms in India that require Biochemists. On top of this , students who have finished their post graduation in this subject also stand a chance of getting job with firms that conduct research in ; Pharmacogenomics Gene Therapy or Genetic testing Drug research and testing Food quality testing , etc ***Job career in Government Sector: Biochemists are in great demand not only in the Private sector but in Government sector too.
