National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a compulsory test for those candidates who are Interested for taking admission in National Institute of Science Education and Research in Bhubneshwar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy.This Entrance Exam is conducted for taking admission in Five years Integrated M.SC Program-me in Basic Sciences - Biology,Mathematics,Chemistry,Physics.

Eligibility criteria for appearing in NEST

Educational qualification :

Candidates should have a minimum educational qualification of Intermediate pass out with science discipline from recognized board/university.
Candidates should have science stream at Intermediate level.
Candidates should have a combination of (Biology/Mathematics) along with Physics and Chemistry at Intermediate level.

Marks :

Candidates minimum marks in Intermediate level should be 55% .
Candidates Aggregate marks in Physics,Chemistry,Biology/Mathematics should be 60%.

Age required :

For General/OBC category candidates,their age should not be above 20 years.
For SC/ST category candidates,their age should not be above 22 years.

Exam Pattern for NEST :

All questions will be in English .
There will be five sections from which questions will be asked.
Section I will include questions from General Knowledge and Reasoning.
Section II to V will include questions from Physics,Chemistry,mathematics and Biology.
All questions will be objective type.
There will be No Negative Marking.

Syllabus for NEST :
It will include questions from NCERT Books from 10+2 level of Mathematics,Biology,Physics and Chemistry.Apart from these candidates should also have a good Knowledge on Astronomy,History,Computer Science also.Some of the questions will also be based on Class X Syllabus.

hai friend ,
after scorring 56 is the cut of marks
total is 100 if you got exactely 56 marks then you qualified.........

it depends on how others score.
based on that, a rank list will be prepared
