Vocabulary have so much importance not only in CDS, SSC or UPSC Exams but also in all competitive exams.

Because there will be 5-15 questions on the basis of Vocabulary in the form of Antonyms and Synonyms. If you are good ate Vocabulary, obvioulsy just by seeing the word itself, obviously you can easily know the antonym or synonym for the word out of the given choices.

So, this benefit you in saving time. This time you can use in answering other time taking questions like aptitude. So, try build up good vocabulary yourself.

The best way to develop vocabulary is by reading English news papers. You may across many of the new words in English news papers while reading. Get the meaning for those words and use them in your regular conversations.

In addition, you can develop some vocabulary by watching English news channels.

There will be number of books available in the market on vocabulary. You can purchase any one and go through that.

I suggest you to learn a minimum of 5 new words every day and use them in your day to day conversations with others. Otherwise you will definetely forget those words.
