hi friends,
CID stands for Criminal Investigation Department.
In India each state has formed its own CID which deals
with solving hard-core criminal cases.

You can become a CID Officer in 2 Ways :

1.Appearing in the UPSC Civil Services Exam(CSE) and becoming an IPS Officer.
You will become an ACP and then work hard to get selected to CID.

2.Apply to State Public Commission Services(PCS) and become a sub-inspector
and then join the CID.

Educational qualifiction required to apply to UPSC CSE and PCS Exams is graduation in any discipline from a recognised University. You can apply to these exams online when notification is advertised in the Employment News/leading newspapers/websites.
Visit www.upsc.gov.in and www.upsconline.nic.in

CSE 2013 Exam notification is expected on 02.02.2013 and Prelims/CSAT exam will be held on 19.05.2013.

Age Limit is 21-30yrs for general category and relaxation of age by +3yrs for OBC and By +5yrs for SC/ST candidates.
