Dear Friend,
i am giving you the details about the eligibility for IAS exam from where
your idea will be clear.
eligibility for ias exam
(i) age limit
21 to 30 years as on 1.7.2012(upper age limit relaxation for SC/ST,OBC and cirtain other categories )
(ii) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
bachelor's degree of a recognized university with atleast one of the subjects namely
animal husbandry and veterinary science,botany,chemistry,geology,mathematics,physi cs,
statistics and zoology or a bachelor's degree in agriculture,forestry or in engineering or an equivalent qualification.

preliminary exam:20/5/2012 and duration 1day
main exam:5/10/2012 and duration 21 days.

You should appear in UPSC civil service exam.
Qualification : candidate should be graduate from any recognised university with any stream .
The exam consist three phases:
1.Preliminary &
2.Mains &
3.Interview

Preliminary exam is objective type test and syllabus of this exam :General english, current affairs,quantitative aptitude and general kknowledge
Mains exam:Optional subjects

Age limit:22-30 yrs for GE and 3yrs relaxation for OBC candidates and 5yrs relaxation for OBC candidates.
Physical:
for IPS you should have the prescribed physical requirements

If you have completed your B.E you are eligible to take the IAS exam.
The eligibility criteria are:
1. A graduate from any recognised university.
2. Age limit: 21-30 years in general, upto 33 years for OBC and upto 35 years for SC/ST.
3. No. of attempts: four for general, seven for OBC and no limit for SC/ST.

The notifiction will be given in the month of feb and preliminary exam will be in the month of May.

IPS /IAS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.

For both cases CIVIL SERVICE EXAM is conduct every year for recruiting the IAS and IPS officer.

Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IAS/IPS exam.

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.
In IPS/IAS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be citizen of India.

Civil service exam notification will be announced in 04/02/2012

Last date of application submission is 05/03/2012

The Preliminary examination date is20/05/2012.

I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for I.A.S exam after completing.
I.A.S/I.P.S exam.

Qualification:- Pass graduation with any stream fron recginiced university.

Age limit:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

Number of Attempts:-
For open category:- 4 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts


CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM., 2012
Date of notification:-04.02.2012
Last Date of receipt of form:- 05.03.2012(MONDAY)

Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) exams are part of civil service exam.This exam is conducted by UPSC every year once.

If you fulfill with Civil Service exam criteria,then you can eligible for IAS and IPS exam too.

Eligibility criteria for Civil Service exam:
You should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
And your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

If you have complete B.E Tech course and your age is between the age mentioned above,then you can appear for this year Civil Service exam.

Civil Service exam consist of
>>Preliminary Exam
>>Main Exam

Preliminary Exam Notification for 2012 years:
Application issues from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012.
Exam will held on 20th May 2012.

After Clearing Preliminary Exam,then you can appear for Main Exam.

Main exam will held on 15th Oct 2012.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service

To become IAS/IPS Officer, you have to Apply for the UPSC Civil services examination (CSE) and this examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year and to apply for this examination you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University.

After completing your BE Degree course you are eligible to apply for this examination, Final year Graduate appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination.
