Re: Date of UPSC IES exam? Hi The engineering services examination is conducted by the upsc in india for the engineering jobs in the government sectors. The minimum eligibility is that you should be a graduate in any of these branches of engineering- Mechanical Electrical Civil Electronics and communication The age should be in between 21-30 years of age, a relaxation of 3 and 5 years is given to the obc and sc/st categories respectively. The dates for the 2013 engineering services examination are- The forms will be available from 16th march 2013 and the last date of the submission of the form is 15th april 2013 and the exam date is 28th june 2013. HELLO,  ABOUT IES EXAM : Indian Engineering Services Examination, UPSC (Union Public Service commission) conducts Engineering Services Examination for recruitment in various engineering services/posts in various Government Departments. The recruitment is done for three categories:
These jobs are considered to be highly reputed therefore a large number of candidates appear for IES-ESE exam but there are only a limited vacancies (nearly 560 including 47 PH Vacancy) so the selection is quite tough. The selected candidates get a handsome pay in addition to several other incentives of Government jobs and job security. Eligibility for IES-ESE 2013 Nationality: A candidate must be either: (a) a citizen of India Age limit in ESE-2013 examination is expected to be same as for ESE-2012. (a) A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st January, 2013. Minimum Educational Qualification: For admission to the examination, a candidate must have: (a) Obtained a degree in Engineering from recognized University . This examination is conducted once in a year and the important dates for the IES 2013 are as follows: Date of notification:16/03/2013 Last date of receiving applications:15/04/2013 Date of examination:28/06/2013 Some of the important requirements for the IES 2013 exam: >>You must be bachelor's degree holder in engineering /technology in any discipline from a recognized university.Final year B.tech/B.E candidates can also apply for the exams. Note: For your conventional papers ,you have to select the subjects from the core branches of engineering only that are civil,mechanical,electrical and electronics and communications. >>The age limit is 21-30 years with three years to obc and five years to sc/st upper age relaxations. >>Incase of no of attempts ,general candidates have four chances,obc have seven and sc/st has no limits. The duration of the examination is of 3 days. The detailed eligibility criteria of the IES exam is given below: Education Qualification Candidates applying for the IES examination should have a degree in engineering in any of the following subjects: Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Candidate having the above branch of engineering are eligible to apply for the IES examination.
