Hello,

MPSC - Maharashtra Public Service Commission is the administering authority for conducting Maharashtra State Civil Services examination in the state.

IMPORTANT DATE 2013:

MPSC PSI (Direct) Examination 2013

Advertisement:- February 2013

Preliminary Examination Date:- 21st April, 2013

Main Examination Date:- 4th August, 2013

Eligibility Criteria:-

Age Requirements:-

(a) OBC: 35 years
(b) SC/ST/NT: 38 years
(c) Open Category: 33yrs / for PSI exams it is 28 yrs

Educational Qualifications:- A candidate must be a graduate.

There are three stages of PSI Exam ,

Preliminary Examination ,

Main Examination,

Physical Test and Interview.

Syllabus for Preliminary Exam: - The preliminary exam consists of four papers i.e. General Knowledge, General English, General Marathi and General Studies.

Paper Pattern

> > There will be two languages papers of 100 marks each and the structure of the papers will of descriptive type.

. > The remaining four papers will have multiple choice questions, 150 marks each. For two incorrect answers, 1 mark will get deducted.

Hai,

MPSC-Maharashtra Public Service Commission.

MPSC exam conducted by the Maharashtra State government.

Eligibility details:-

Applicant must be complete graduation from a recognised university.

Percentage is not important to apply this examination.

Final year graduation candidates are also eligible.

Applicant must be a citizen of India.

Age criteria:-

The candidates age should be in between 21 years to 33 years,

For OBC candidates there is a relaxation of 3years,

For SC/ST candidates there is a relaxation of 5 years.

Selection process:-

Preliminary exam,

Mains exam,

Personal interview.

Syllabus for preliminary exam:-

Arts and social sciences,

Intelligence test,

Current affairs,

Science and Technology,

Commerce and Economics,

Agriculture.

New Syllabus details for Preliminary MPSC Exam for 2013

PAPER I :- Total marks will be 200 and total number of questions will be 100.It will include questions from 7 sections.These are

Current events of state,national and International importance.
History of India and Indian National Movement.
Maharashtra,India and World Geography - Physical,Social and Economic Geography of Maharashtra,Indian and World.
Maharashtra and Indian - Its Politics and Governments,Public Policy,Urban Governance,Rights issues.
Economic and Social development.
General issues on Environmental Ecology,Bio-Diversity and Climate Change.
General science.

PAPER II :- Total marks for this exam will also be 200.Total number of questions will be 80.

Comprehension :- Introduction to comprehension.
Marathi and English Language Comprehension.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
Decision making and Problem solving.
General mental ability.
Logical reasoning and Analytical ability.
Data Interpretation and Data sufficiency.

Important Notes :-

For each wrong answer,negative marking will be 0.33 .
All questions of Marathi and English Language comprehension will be from Class X/XII Level.
ll questions will be objective type with multiple type.
You will have to appear in both paper that is in Paper I and II for getting qualified in Preliminary Exam.
