Re: Can I answer CSAT exam at the age of 20 years? No, you are not eligible to write this exam at the age of 20 years CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test exam. The exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service commission). It is conducted for the selection for IAS or IPS * CSAT exam is also called as preliminary exam. * Candidates should be graduate from a recognized university. Age limits: * Candidates for general category should have age limit within 21 to 30 years. * Relaxation for OBC category for 3 years * Relaxation for SC/ST category for 5 years Attempts: * For General category - 4 attempts * For SC/ST category - No limits * For OBC category - 7 attempts Best wishes |

Age relaxations exist as per Govt. rules. Academic Eligibility: You must be a graduate from a recognized university. You can not give this exam rightnow. |

Re: Can I answer CSAT exam at the age of 20 years? The CSAT or the Civil Service Aptitude Test is conducted by the UPSC each year. The CSAT is held for the selection of candidates as an IPS or an IAS. The minimum Age Eligibility can be noted as follows: Candidate must have acheived minimum 21 years of age on 1st august of the year of exam. Since, you are only 20, you are not eligible. However, if your D.O.B is on or before 1st August, then you turn 21 by 1st August and become eligible. Also note that the upper age limit is 30 years(33 years for OBC and 35 Years for SC/ST). Also, dont appear for the exam for a first hand experience purpose, try only if you are genuinely interested and well prepared because, there is very tough competition for IAS and OPS and only 4 attempts are available(7 for OBC and no limit for SC/ST). People have been trying very hard for years and not able to get through. So dont waste any opportunity just like this. |

Re: Can I answer CSAT exam at the age of 20 years? Minimum age for the csat exam is 21 years so you are not eligible till now for the exam of CSAT. the exam of CSAT is under taken by UPSC so the qualification required graduate with a reputed university. |

Re: Can I answer CSAT exam at the age of 20 years? Sorry to say but you are not eligible for this CSAT exam as the MIN educational qualification is 21 years of age. Better you can take MOCK exam of the question paper after the exam from your friends. Try next time dude!!! |

Re: Can I answer CSAT exam at the age of 20 years? you can not appear this year as minimum age limit for IAS- CSAT is 21 years as on 1st august, so you will have to wait till next year. also the number of attempts are fixed at 4 ,7 and no limit respectively for gen OBC and SC/ST... so dont waste your attempts without preparation esp. since you are youg appear only if you are well prepared. further you need to be a graduate or in final year of graduation to be eligible to appear. |

Minimum education criteria require Graduate Maximum age criteria = 28yrs (for General category and I think it is 32 years for SC/ ST categories) CSAT 2011 exams will be conducted on 12th June. and last date of applying for the same is 21at March... please refer www.upsc.gov.in for further detail and to apply.. How to apply:- You have to apply for UPSC (Union Public Services Commission) exam. This time UPSC pattern is changed and it is called as CSAT which is coming into effect from Civil Services Examination, 2011.and so there is no option subjects. |
