B 1.The Common Admission Test (CAT) Marks and Scoring The CAT score will be calculated as per the formula, S = 3R - 1W, where S is the CAT score, R is the number of right answers and W is the number of wrong answers. Negative marks will be given for each wrong answer. In case of a tie, the existing University norms will be followed. The Structure of CAT The CAT comprises the following: Subject of Tests Code Test for B.Tech and M.Sc Photonics 101 LET (Lateral Entry to B.Tech. Programmes) 102 Aptitude Test for 5 Year B.B.A LL.B. (Hons.)/B.Com LL.B.(Hons.) 201 Test for M.A. Hindi 301 C MAT conducted by AICTE for Management programmes of CUSAT 401 Aptitude Test for MCA 501 Biotechnology 601 Botany 602 Chemical Engineering 603 Chemistry 604 Electronic Science 606 Engineering Science 607 Fisheries / Fisheries Science 608 Geology 609 Law (for LL.M) 610 Life Sciences 611 Mathematics 612 Physics 613 Statistics 614 Zoology 615 M.A. Applied Economics 616 Instrumentation 617 Food Science 618 Aptitude Test for 3 year LL.B (Regular)(Evening) 619 Aptitude Test for MIP.,Ph.D and LL.M.,Ph.D 620 Group Discussion and Interview Applicants for M.B.A (Full-time) / M.B.A (Part-time), M.B.A (International Business), M.B.A. (Travel & Tourism) will be short-listed on the basis of their CMAT score and will be required to attend Group Discussion and Interview. Applicants for M. Sc Industrial Fisheries will be short-listed on the basis of their CAT score and will be required to attend interview. CAT Rank Lists Rank lists for M.B.A (Full-time) / (Part-time), M.B.A (I.B.) M.B.A. (T.T.) are prepared on the combined basis of the CMAT score and performance at Group Discussion and Interview as indicated belo |
