dear friend,

First of all congratulation to you. You have scored a very good marks. But you don't mentioned your department that will create a problem. Ok if you would mention your department then it will help you both you and me. Although I think your rank would be perhaps within 100.

See it varies year to year.Generally two main factors are fully depend on this which are:

1. Number of students appeared in the stream in which you are appearing in.
2. Maximum marks obtained in a year by a candidate.

I think you will get chance in I.I.T.s

I'm getting around 34 marks out of 100 in Instrumentation. Could anyone tell me what rank/percentile range it'll fetch me?

Also will it get me an interview call from IOCL or NTPC?

The percentile for GATE should be calculated as per total number of candidate apply for it.
If you have secured 68 marks then its a good GATE score. I think you are more than 90 percentile.
You may get chance into the NITs or many good colleges.

you are notsay in which steram u want to know rank but i will give for some branch rank estimation for 68%
1-ece-in top 100
2-im mechinical 100-200
3-cse in top 100
because mechanical paper is not tuff this year.so expacted rank goes low

If you have score 608 marks then you will be

getting a very good rank.

Your percentile will be around 99%

and wih this 99% percwntile you can get admission in any

iit college.

So now prepare to study in iit.

if you are able to secure 68 marks in GATE examination then your rank will be very good. although every year rank varies on the question difficulty level.
till from the previous years trend you may expect that your rank will be near about 100. as you have not mentioned your stream so it is not possible to say you the previous year rank on that paper by getting 68 marks.
you will be eligible to apply for all IITs and all other institution.

If your Score is 68 then then you might get your Rank under 100 because as far as last year Rank Holder.

The guy who got more than 60 in Gate Exam got below 100.

But this This year Paper was Qute easy as sources said.

So nothing can be predictable, So hope for the best.

If your Marks is 68 then you will Definitly get some NIT's(for sure) Or IIT's(any )

First thing is that the marks is variable for the all streams.
but your marks are absolutely good i.e.68.
in this marks you will get under 100 rank surely.

Hi,

Rank in GATE exam varies according to difficulty of paper.if paper is simple then rank will be high and when paper is very difficult than the rank will be low.

You got 68% marks in gate exam so i hope your rank will be very good.

In gate exam rank also varies according to different stream,you not mention your stream here so hope your rank will be under 130.

With this rank possibility of IIT college is high.i hope you will find IIT college.

i didnt understand the meaning of your sentence but i ll try to help you out in all aspect

as you know they tell you result on the basis of percentile so if you mean 68 percentile then i would say that its not that good marks you can not get any IITies and also most of good college door will be closed to you

but if you mean that 68 marks then its a very good marks you will definitely get your percentile around 99.5 to 100 and you can get into any IITies you want

With 68% marks you can expect a rank between 85 to 95. So I think you have done good. And you will easily get into the IIT's

Yes these are the marks which assures top branch in IITs.
Although you have not mentioned your branch in which you appear for GATE but 68 marks are good enough to rank yourself among top 50.
Even the level of paper is low but scoring such marks requires high level of concentration and practice.

you need to announce your department.
eg ece can fetch you rank within 400,while production engg. can get you at 50.

If your score is 68 it means your rank will be under 100
as last year in 64 marks(electrical) was 90 so your rank will b <100
