Re: How can I join Merchant Navy after completing B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering? sir i am doing B.tech in mechanical engineering from G.B.T.U university and i have to join merchant navy after B.tech so i have to give any entrance exam or to join straight away join in M.E.R.I MUMBAI if i have to give any entrance exam please send the syllabus of entrance exam so that i could prepare for it |

As you have completed B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, you are eligible to join merchant navy as junior engineer/fifth engineer, but having done mechanical engineering, you will also have to go through a pre-sea course which can be pursued from the Marine Engineering and Research Institute- Mumbai. The duration of the course is 1 year. After successful completion of the pre-sea course, you will be eligible to join merchant navy as junior engineer. |
