Re: Can i join Merchant Navy after scoring 54.2% marks in 12th class with science stream sir i have 56.6% in 10th and 54.2% in 12th.after 12th i made 2 years gap .and not to stop in life iwas suggested to do engineering. now i am pursuing b.tech.(m.e.)from lovely professional university.i want to join merchant navy .i don't want to give up my dreams.kindly answer me in this regards...??? |

Re: Can i join Merchant Navy after scoring 54.2% marks in 12th class with science stream hello friend..!! ->as merchant navy is taken as the one of the civil service and other civil services are:- 1.Indian Military 2.Indian Air Force ->you have to give the an entrance exam for it i.e.NDA(national defense academy) which is conducted by UPSC. ->as your marks are less in 12th class but no problem you can get an admission if you crack the NDA exam. ->there are two rounds in NDA that are:- 1.preliminary test or written test 2.main test or an interview. ->the eligibility criteria is as under:- 1.you should be an Indian. 2.only unmarried males are eligible. 3.girls are not eligible. 4.the age should lies between 16.5 to 19 years. 5.you should have at least 55% marks in 12th. ->but you have less marks in 12th so you should concern it ans you can check more details on the following link:- http://www.upsc.gov.in thank u!! |
