Re: Is maths compulsory subject for BCA? Yes, to join BCA, it is mandatory to pass 12th with any one of the subject Maths. If some colleges allows, then if you choose MCA then at least they will look for Maths subject in 12th. SO, it is good to take a decision now at the early stage it self |

Re: Is maths compulsory subject for BCA? Well, the answer for you is both yes and no. Yes because mostly institutes want people who have mathematics in their higher secondary. This is the case for the regular BCA colleges. So you can try there only if you have mathematics(that is, pure science combination) in your higher secondary course. Also you must get marks more than 60% to make it into the BCA course. Also some colleges take entrance examinations, due to huge number of candidates applying. Among them those who can clear the entrance examination, will get their name enlisted in the merit list. So for you(if you do not have mathematics) the best option will be distance BCA. Here you need no entrance examination, no mathematics taking is compulsory. So get admitted in IGNOU BCA. You can log onto www.ignou.ac.in or call at 033-2281 0964 to enroll into the course. The fees for a three year BCA is around Rs.5,000. |
