It is good that you want to prepare for SSC Exam. As the competition is too high, one should have strong preparation towards this Exam.

As per Verbal Ability, the best book to prepare for you is R.S.Agarwal.

This book is good enough in preparing for all Reasoning concepts like
Statements and Conclusions
Seating Arrangements
Problem Figures etc.

One best advantage with this book is that you don't need to get trained by someone to learn these concepts.

You can go through this book and you will easily understand all the concepts.

But one thing that is required from your side is that strong preparation.

You need to put practice for minimum 2 hours in a day.

The success to get more marks in Reasoning section is by understanding the problem in a logical manner.

It may take time to understand the problem, but once you understood the logic which is there in the problem, you can solve the answers in fraction of seconds.

So, put your preparation in this way. Then you will get better results.

To get good marks in General English, you should be strong enough in the following areas
Vocabulary
Comprehension
Grammar

What I suggest you is to learn 5 new words every day and try to use them in your regular practice. This will build up your vocabulary.

Time Management will play a crucial role in any competitive Exam.

So.,take mock tests as many as you can and try to analyze your performance from time to time.

Wish you all the best.
