Re: How to become an IPS officer after passing class 9th student, Education Qualification: To be eligible for becoming an IPS officer the candidate must posses a degree from an Indian University or an equivalent qualification. Those in the final year degree course can also appear in the Preliminary Examination taken every year by UPSC. Age: The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years on 1st august of the year of examination and must not have attained 30 years of age on that date. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/St candidates. The upper age limit is also relaxed in favor of Defense Services Personnel. All the best. |

Re: How to become an IPS officer after passing class 9th To become IPS officer you need to complete your studies i.e. after passing 9th complete 10th,11th & 12th,then complete Graduation from a recognized university. Minimum qualification required to appear for IPS exams is Graduation from a recognized university. IPS exams are conducted by UPSC every year. CIVIL SERVICES exams are conducted by UPSC every year. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university. Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Re: How to become an IPS officer after passing class 9th Bachelor’s degree is the required qualification for IPS. Clearing civil services exam is the gateway to join IPS. There will be prelims, mains, and physical efficiency test for selection. You can start exam preparations from 12th class onwards. Reference books and model question papers of previous years can be used for study. |
