Re: Best books to qualify for competitive exams? Competitive Exams itself refers to Competition. So, the candidates have to compete a lot among themselves to get success in competitive exams and to get a job. Many of the competitive exams will involve the questions from the following categories -Reasoning -Aptitude -General Awareness -General English So, try to be strong enough in these areas and appear for various competitive exams whichever you are interested. For Reasoning and Aptitude, I recommend you to use R.S.Agarwal publications. To be strong enough in General Awareness Read daily news papers Watch news channels Go through magazines like -Banking Services Chronicle -Mahendra Current Affairs Collect the information regarding the following areas from the above mentioned sources -National Affairs -International Affairs -Bilateral Affairs -Sports -Awards -Books and Authors -Persons in News -Economy issues etc. Update the knowledge on these areas continuously and attempt the exams well. For General English, you can use any book which is good in Comprehension, Grammar aspects and Vocabulary. Wish you all the best. |

Re: Best books to qualify for competitive exams? Hello, Since you have not mentioned the name of the exam, it is tough to tell you about the books. If you are talking about engineering entrance exams, then you can follow NCERT books. You can follow physics book by HC Verma and books by Arihant. These books will definitely help you in cracking the competitive exams. Best of luck. |
