Re: Best Engineering Colleges in India? hi, IIT's and NIT's are Same with Respect to purpose of Study i.e Graduation in Engineering , Post Graduation in Engineering or Technology etc. But they are Different with respect to Infrastructure, with Respect to Entrance Exam of them. IIT JEE is an Exam which is a mode of getting admissions in Various IIT's. But AIEEE is an Exam which is used to Get Admission in various NIT's. As seen from placements point of View, IIT leads than NIT's. because IIT's are Top ranker Colleges in India and followed by NIT's. But these Day's NIT's doesn't seems to be Good because Most of the Private colleges are taking lead from NIT's if you see both Private and Government Ranking in a same List. Otherwise you can join NIT also, but for that you have to pass entrance exam which is organised by AIEEE.
