Is anyone can apply for IAS , if he/she had failedl in secondary board exam (matriculation ) or in there degree period ?

my eye sight is -5 and another -5.25 and vision 6/6 am i able to appy for ips

I'm a undergraduate student having heart problem(had heart surgery in 2001@ age of 7yrs), so the only thing i cant do is running. So tell me that if i can be a IPS officer?

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service conducted by UPSC Every Year

ELIGIBILITY for IAS:
  • A candidate must have completed their graduation Degree in any Discipline with atlest 55% from recognise universities.
  • Final year students are also applicable.

Age Limit:
  1. General category student:- 21-30 years.
  2. OBC relaxation in upper age +3 years.
  3. SC/ST relaxation in upper age +5 years.

No. Attempt:
  1. General - max. 4
  2. OBC - max. 7.
  3. SC/ST - No limit.

Exam Pattern:
  1. Preliminary Exam.
  2. Main Exam
  3. Interview

The various physical standards required for IPS are:-

As mentioned earlier candidates appearing for the personality test on clearing the civil services mains exam have to meet certain physical requirements to be eligible for IPS.

Minimum height of 165 cm for Men and 150 cm for Women (minimum height is relaxable to 160 and 145 cm for Men and Women respectively in the case of candidates belonging to ST and to races such as Gorkhas, Garhwalias, Assamese, Kumaonis Nagaland Tribals etc.)

Min Chest girth fully expanded: 84 cm for Men and 79 cm for Women. Expansion of 5 cm for Men and Women

Total amount of Myopia (including the cylinder) should not exceed minus 4.00 D and total amount of Hypermetropia (including the cylinder) should not exceed plus 4.00 D Presence of Squint is a disqualification.

Distant vision 6/6 or 6/9 6/12 or 6/9
Near vision J1 J2
Corrections permitted spectacles
Color vision requirements High grade
Binocular vision needed Yes

Hai,

IAS(Indian Administrative Service) and IPS(Indian Police Septic) these two exams are conducted by the one and only UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) once in every year.

If you want to crack this exam you must have to satisfy some of the criteria i.e age, educational qualification, nationality and etc.

Educational Qualification:-

The candidate who are applying these exams must have to complete bachelor's degree from a recognised university.

Final year appearing candidates may also eligible.

Percentage is not required to crack this exam.


Age criteria:-

The candidates age should be in between 21years to 30 years,

3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates,

5 years age relaxation for the SC/ST candidates.


Number of attempts:-

4 times for General candidates,

7 times for OBC candidates,

No limits for the SC/ST candidates.


Selection process:-

The selection process is based on three stages, one after other it will be conducted.


Civil services preliminary exam,

Civil services main exam,

Personal interview.

Hey friend,

IAS and IPS are both Civil Service post and for joining in these posts you need to write the IAS and IPS exam.

And these exams are being conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) which is conducted every year for the posts.

There are eligibility criteria's which are framed for the exams which are framed for candidates to apply for the exams in order to become a IAS or IPS officer,

Out of the criteria's framed there are certain physical standard which you need to satisfy and that to it belongs to only IPS exam.

The criteria's which you need to satisfy are:
  • Nationality
  • Age Limit
  • Education qualification
  • Physical Standard

> The candidate need to be a citizen of India

> The age limit needed for the exam is that the caniddate must have 21-30 years for General Category candidates

> For SC/ST candidate it is 21-35 years and for OBC candidate it is 21-33 years.

> There is a exception of age for Ex-service men as they get 5 years exception from the prescribed limits.

> Education qualification needed for applying for the exam is that the candidate must have completed a degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

> You need to be physically fit for applying for the IPS Exam.
