Important topics for IIT-JEE in Maths according to me are Calculas,Algebra,Co-ordinate Geometry,Trignometry You should complete integration,derivation,limit,continuity,etc of calculas. Topics like finding locus,circle,ellipse,conics,straight line,etc are inportant topics of Co-ordinate Geometry. In algebra important topics will be Arithematic progression,Geometric progression,Permutation&combination,probability,et c. You shouls also refer some standard books availble in market for IIT-JEE preparation. Work Hard & Practise well. In maths the more you practise the more perfect you are......... |

Re: Top scoring topics in Maths for cracking IIT? well algebra is always the scoring you can get good marks or can attempts all the question of algebra as it is one if the easiest part of mathematics .it is totally formula based easy to learn and one can easily solve them coordinate geometry is one of simple as it is aslo formula based and also if you have good understanding on plane then you can eaaily solve it . if you are good in differentiation and integration then i don't think that it would be a problem to you to crack IIT JEE thanks |

It dffers in many ways like none of the question is of single topic , you have to face many topics in single question . But there are some topics which contibute more in exam like - -co-ordinate geometry. -algebra. -calculas. -vector-3D. and for better result i advice u to dn't leave any topic by thinking tht its nt important.... and u must join some good test series which helps u to review ur concepts before exam.. |

The IIT-JEE is considered to be very hard to crack because of surprises it comes up with every year , so nothing is 100% sure and you need a thorough preparation of all(or say most of ) the topics. Still there are topics in mathematics which enjoy a biasing in regard most of questions are asked from these topics. These topics are 1) CALCULUS 2) ALGEBRA and 3) CO-ORDINATE GEOMETRY *study hard and smart.......best of luck for your exam !!! |

But if you are so good at math I may suggest you not to neglect physics and chemistry.If you could even average marks in both of them you can get a rank below 500.So in addition to math prepare even for other subjects. But the topics which are considered to be easy are as follows: Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus,Maxima & Minima,Vectors,Trigonometry,Coordinate Geometry. Also try to solve previous yrs questions as it will help you a lot & some concepts came as it is only the difference is values. Books:-30 years solved papers by Arihant & New Pattern Maths by Amit.M.Agarwal. |

It is not easy to crack .There is no any shortcut of success so, here also there is no any shortcut. You need to labour hard to achieve your goal. As far as Mathematics is concerned , it is unpredictable. It keeps changing its format every year. So, it is very difficult for me to tell you the names of scoring topics but I can suggest you the names of important topics. Completing these topics will make you to score good marks.The topics are as follows: • CALCULUS • CO-ORDINATE GEOM ETRY • TRIGONOMETRY • ALGEBRA • VECTOR Most of specialist suggests to study NCERT books for the preparation of IIT-JEE . So, follow their suggestion and complete NCERT book first. Then i will suggest you to study from the book by M.L.KHANNA . The book of PRATYUSH KUMAR is also good. The most important thing is your labour . Your chances of getting success depend on your hard labour only. If you still feel insecure then follow the steps : o Try to solve the previous year question papers. o Purchase new IIT-JEE sample papers . o Take part in online preparation test. o Participate in test conducted by FIT-JEE. o Not only IIT ,but try to solve question of other engineering entrance exams like-AIEEE. Calculus(most Important) and its applications. 3. Trignometry - S. L loney 4. Probability and Permutations & Combinations. 5. Algebra. Overall in my opinion the best book is Asit Das Gupta. You can also rely upon the Arihant series. |

Being a master of calculus in mathematics, Some of the essential topics that you should concentrate on are Modern Physics and electronics, Wave options, Inorganic chemistry and General chemistry. Also study in depth Solid State, Probability and Differential Equations. Other important and scoring topics are analytical geometry, electricity, mechanics and physical chemistry. A good knowledge of these topics will enable you in answering most of the paper correctly. GOOD LUCK............. |

Re: Top scoring topics in Maths for cracking IIT? hi top scoring topics are co-ordinate geometry trigonometry algebra sometimes based upon the number of questions given from the topic are more and score more. if you feel questions are tough read question and think twice with common sense it will become easy to you i want to share one thing while writing exam if question is too big dont neglect it because the answer will be very easy. do not feel maths is tough .maths means only numbers,additions,subtractions,multiplications and divisions if you good in these you will surely score top marks. Everything depends upon your self interest towards the topic.Each student may have his/her own topic's to select as an easily scored one.For example the topic which is easy for you may be treated as a tough topic by others. But usually candidates prefer a group of topics to be easy to score.Some of the topics in Mathematics which are preferred by students are Co-ordinate Geometry,Calculus,Maxima and Minima,Trigonometry,Algebra. Prefer standard books of NCERT,IIT Maths by M.L. Khanna to perform well in your exams. |
