Re: How can I prepare for NET exam for the subject of economics NET stands for National Eligibility Test. It is conducted by UGC Two times a year i.e June & Dec. It is conducted for : -Lecturership -Junior Research Felowship(JRF) Preparation Tips : -To prepare for NET Exams in subject Economics you should first follow the syllabus given by UGC in your subject.Prepare each and every topic mentioned in the syllabus. -PaperI is common to all candidates and checks the general aptitiude and teaching aptitude of candidates.It is simple and objective type paper. -Paper II and Paper III will be from Economics.Firtst clear your Basic Concepts and then try to gain indepth knowledge of the topics. -Solve previous year question papers and model test papers. -Read good and relaiable study materials,refer books of good authors. -You can subscribe to postal coaching materials like Brilliant tutorial,etc. -You should throughly study all books from graduation and post-graduation level.Refer to graphs,tables,etc related to different topics. -Work hard and devote 4-6hrs of study time daily for preparations. There is no shorcut to success,you have to toil hard as syllabus is very vast. -Join a good library to access good newspapers like Economis Times,etc and magazines like Business Today and good books of foriegn authors.
