Re: Is MCA passed student eligible for GATE exam?

Hi dear,

Eligibility for GATE Exam:
**either Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture
**either Master degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications
**either Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology
only these candidates can apply ..

so from above i think u satisfy second condition so you can apply for GATE

for Gate as there is no age limit
and no number of attempts defined in GATE exam..
and also there is no minimum percentage criteria ,

Thanks

Re: Is MCA passed student eligible for GATE exam?

For the GATE exam, only the engineering students can apply.
In the 3rd year of the engineering can also apply for the GATE exam.
The score card is valuable for two years. i.e, you can apply for this year and also for the next year.
But only thing is the questions are very tough SO it is very difficult to clear the GATE exam.
Only with the proper training and practice you may clear the exam
The application form is Rs.1000.
If you got the college through the GATE exam then you will get the stipend amount from the government.

Re: Is MCA passed student eligible for GATE exam?

Dear friend,

=> Sorry to say friend, but you are not eligible to write the G.A.T.E exam if you have backlogs..
=> Because you need to submit your certificates after you qualify the exam..
=> But there is no age limit to attend the exam..
=> And there is no minimum percentage to apply for the exam..
=> You can try to get seat in top colleges, by scoring good rank in this entrance exam..
=> So friend try to clear your backlog in B.TECH engineering and then apply for the exam..
=> So study well for the exam and do well in the entrance exams..

Best of luck..

Re: Is MCA passed student eligible for GATE exam?

The minimum eligibility conditions to appear for the GATE exams can be noted as follows:

*Bachelor degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2),final or pre-final year students can also apply.

*Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent, final or pre-final year students can also apply
.
*Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/ Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/ Technology.

*Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognised by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by IE(I), AMICE(I) by the Institute of Civil Engineers (India)-ICE(I)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

So as you are a MCA post graduate, so you seem to satisfy the second condition in the above mentioned list.

So you can apply.

Also note, that there is no age limit, also there is no limit on the number of times one can attempt for the GATE.
