Re: Is Economics needed to succeed in CPT exam? I have taken commerce group with computer science Hello Friend, syllabus of CPT comprises of following subjects. Fundamentals of Accounting (60 marks) Mercantile Laws (40 marks) General Economics (50 marks) Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks General Economics section is of 50 marks only. The content of General Economics section is fundamentals only which a normal person can understand by studying on his/her own. It doesn't require vast knowledge of Economics. Only fundamentals of few topics of economics are covered in CPT syllabus so you should not be worried in this regard. Thank You! |

Re: Is Economics needed to succeed in CPT exam? I have taken commerce group with computer science The syllabus of CPT comprises of following subjects. Fundamentals of Accounting (60 marks) Mercantile Laws (40 marks) General Economics (50 marks) Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks) The detailed syllabus is attached herewith. As you can see that the General Economics section is of 50 marks only. The content of General Economics section is fundamentals only which a normal person can understand by studying on his/her own. It doesn't require vast knowledge of Economics. Only fundamentals of few topics of economics are covered in CPT syllabus so you should not be worried in this regard. Refer the syllabus of exam and prepare accordingly. 75% of the syllabus is non economics so even if you score bit lower in Economics section, you can cover it up by scoring high in other sections. |
