Hi Friend.......................

IAS means Indian Administrative Services and is basically meant for those aspiring candidates who have strong dedication towards the country.

India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS officers are recruitment.

First you can appear for Civil Examination

Civil Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission in yearly ones,

For this Civil Examination some eligibility are there

if you satisfy these all eligibility then you are eligible for civil examination

Eligibility Criteria for Civil Examination


Educational Qualification

>> Candidates have a bachelor of degree in any stream from any recognized university,

>> Final year students also eligible for this examination

>> There is no percentage required for this examination

Age Limit

>> Candidates age should between 21 years to 30 years for general candidates

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates

3 years relaxation for OBC candidates

Nationality

>> Candidates should be a citizen of India

Selection Procedure

** Preliminary Examination

** Mains Examination

** Interview Test

No.of Attempts

>> Maximum 7 attempts for general candidates

>> Maximum 4 attempts for OBC Candidates

>> There is no restriction for SC/ST candidates

candidates must be Indian

candidates must be complete graduation from a recognized university

candidates age limit between 21 too 30 years

age relaxation as per govt rules

selection process based on preliminary examination , main examination & interview

To become an IAS officer,you need to appear for the IAS exam under civil services exam which is conducted by UPSC every year.To be eligible for the IAS exam you must have to complete the graduation degree from a recognized univesity

-->There is an age relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and the age relaxation for SC/ST candidates is of 5 years.

Graduation in any subject is enough to apply for IAS. Percentage of marks obtained is not a criterion. Your age must be between 21 and 30 years. Three year concession in upper age is given for OBC category candidates. SC/ST candidates can have 5 year age relaxation.
