Re: Age limit for defense personnel for giving CDS exam? There is No such Relaxation on Age for Defense personal for writing CDSE exam. The Only Criteria For CDSE are :- For IMA i.e Indian Military academy age should be 19 years to 23 years of age. For IAF i.e Indian Air force age should be 19 years to 23 years. For Officer's training academy it should be 19 years to 25 years. and last for Naval academy it should be 19 to 22 years. Good luck............... |

The exam is for army,navy,air force. * Candidates should be a graduate from a recognized university * Age limit must be within 19-22 years for Navy * Age limit must be within 19-24 years for Army * Age limit must be within 19-23 years for Air Force. * Only unmarried male candidates are allowed for the exam * Final year can also attend the exam. Syllabus: * Maths * General knowledge * English Best wishes |

Re: Age limit for defense personnel for giving CDS exam? CDS stands for the Combined Defence Services. The CDS exam is conducted by the UPSC twice a year. The minimum eligibility to appear for the CDS exam is that a candidate must have a graduation degree from a recognized university. Students in the final year of graduation can also apply. Age Limit: For Indian Military academy - 19 to 23 years. For Indian Air Force Academy - 19 to 23 years. For Officer's Training Academy - 19 to 25 years. For Naval Academy - 19 to 22 years. Educational Eligibility For CDS Exam - Graduation in any stream with minimum 50 % aggregate marks from a regonised institute / university. Age Eligibility For CDS Exam - 21 Years to 30 Years. Physical Eligibility For CDS Exam - A candidate should be physically and mentally fit. 1. Eye Sight = 6/6, 2. Height = 167 cms, 3. Weight: 50 Kg 4. Since you are a defence person so you have different criteria to apply for the officers exam. The exam details for the officer level exam will be obtained from the education department of your unit. The CDSE exam is conducted only for the fresh candidates. This exam is not for the serving persons or the ex-service men. So you can't apply for the CDSE exam if you are in defence now. The age limit required for the fresh candidates for the CDSE examination. For IMA (Indian Military academy) 19 to 23 years. For IAF (Indian Air force) 19 to 23 years.
