Dear Friend IES stands for the Indian Engineering Services and the GATE stands for the Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering .At present most sought exam for engineers. As you have mentioned that right now you are in second semester of engineering .The suggestions are: >>Engineering life is very diverse and its very important you have self control so that you can not indulge yourself in something other than studies. >>Keep yourself away from the other environment that exists in engineering life ,I hope you must be getting my point that what I am intending to say. Now coming to study prospective : >>Build strong concept for each and every thing you read . >>Maintain a good time routine and work according to it .Give equal focus on each subjects which is core of your stream. >>For better concepts ,you can download videos and notes from the NPTEL. >>Do not waste your time. >>Try to build good communication skills ,have command over aptitude and personality. >>Go through daily newspapers and try to gain good knowledge of general knowledge.
