Re: What study should I do to become a CBI officer? Dear Friend, First of all i would like to inform you that the Acronym CBI Stands for the Central Bureau Of Investigation. The Staff Selection Commission [SSC] conducts an exam known as the Combined Graduate Preliminary Examination every year through which candidates can join the Central Bureau Of Investigation. The Eligibility Criteria for this exam are : * The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from any UGC Recognized university. * There is no any specific percentage bar in graduation needed for this exam. * The age of the candidate must lie in between 18-27 years. * Age Relaxation : - 3 years of relaxation in upper age is given to OBC Candidates. - 5 years of relaxation in upper age is given to SC/ST Candidates. * Physical Standards :  The Staff Selection Commission conducts the exam through the below mentioned procedure : 1) Written Test 2) Interview The Pattern Of The Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam is :  This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Sorry friend 12th standard completed candidates are not eligible for CBI. Because the minimum educational qualification is graduation. So first complete your graduation then after apply this exam. Eligibility criteria:- You have to complete your graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. Percentage is not required to apply this exam. The applicant must be a citizen of India. Age criteria:- The applicant age limits are 20 years to 27 years. 3years relaxation is given to OBC candidates, 5 years relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates.
