Re: What is the age limit for Indian Air Force? Hi Friend, The IAF can be joined generally through NDA and CDS entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year. NDA - National Defence Academy - The candidate aspiring for IAF, must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years. CDS - Combined Defence Service - The candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics within the age of 19 to 23 years. The exams are as follows: CDS exam: for CDS exam the age limit is 19 years to 23 years. NDA exam: for NDA exam the age limit is 16.5 years to 169 years. Thank you, All the best. |

If you are in class 12th, then you can apply for the NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY (NDA). examination, ... This NDA examination is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC). UPSC conducts this examination for twice times in a year. The educational requirements for appear in this examination is a 12th degree from the recognized board. Through this NDA examination, one can apply for the INDIAN AIR FORCE, INDIAN NAVAL ACADEMY (NA) & INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY (IMA). As you are an IAF/NA aspirant , so you must have PHYSICS & MATHEMATICS in 12th, also with at least 60%(aggregate). The age limit for this examination for this examination is a 16.5-19 years... There is not any kind of age relaxation criteria is applicable for any reserved category. Physical requirements --   Exam pattern--  YOU Must have Indian nationality. You must have marital status unmarried. Thank you!!!! |

Re: What is the age limit for Indian Air Force?  hai, IAF Indian Air Force is one of the wing in National Defence Academy. To join in Indian Air Force first you Crack the NDA exam. NDA exam is conducted by UPSC. You are not mentioned what is your education qualification for this exam the minimum qualification is 12th standard.NDA exam is conduted by UPSC twice in a year. For this Indian Air Force the minimum age limit is 161/2 year to 19 years.And Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible.  Eligibility criteria: You should be a citizen of india. The candidate should be complete +2 from a recognised state board. Age limits is 16 1/2 year to 19years. Important thing is only unmarried male candidates are eligible. You must be physically fit. There are two ways to join in indian airforce one is after 12th standard through NDA(National Defence Academy) exam and second one is after graduation through CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam. These exams conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year. NDA exam details:- Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should be complete 12th standard from a recognised state board. Percentage is not important to apply this exam. The candidate must be a citizen of india. The candidate should be physically fit. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible i.e Girls are not eligible. The age limits are 16.5 years to 19 years. For airforce and navy you must be complete 12th standard with PCM subjects. Selection procedure:- Written exam, SSB interview, Medical test. Indian Air Force can be joined by qualifying any of these two exams - NDA CDS For NDA - You should be 12th pass with Physics and maths from a recognized board. Your age should not be below 16 years and anot above 19 years You should not be married and should be a male candidate For CDS - You should be a graduate your age should be between 19 - 22 years So, now, yu know the age criteria for both the exams. you can apply as per your qualification and age to any of these exams. |

Your age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years. You should be unmarried male candidate. For CDS- You should be a graduate from a recognized university. Your age should be between 19 - 22 years. Both the exams are condcuted by UPSC for entrance in Indian Army , indian navy amd Indian air force. So, apply to the one according to your qualification and age. |
