To become a Chartered Accountant, first of all you need to qualify Higher Secondary level of examination. Qualifying it, will enable you to register for the entrance test known as Common Proficiency Test conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Common Proficiency Test must be qualified by undergraduates, graduates as well as post graduates to be considered eligible for the Chartered Accountancy course.

The course comprise of the following stages:
  • Integrated Professional Competence Course (Duration - 9 Months)
  • Articleship Training (Duration - 3 1/2 years)
  • Computer Training (Duration - 100 hrs.)
  • General Management Course ( Duration - 15 days)
  • Final Course

After completion of Integrated Professional Competence Course and qualifying the examination, candidates need to register for the Final Course and simultaneously register for the Articleship Training. Candidates may appear for the Final Exam after completion of a minimum of 3 years of Articleship Training.
