Biotechnolog you will get many job like you may be appointed in lab as junior scientist.here is a growing demand for people with a higher degree of specialization . Industry &Clinical & Medical research , you have the designations like Research Associates, Scientists & Group Leaders. Drug Executive etc. The biotech sector alone employs over 25,000 scientists. Coupled with pharma this number has quadrupled in the last three years with the growing importance of R&D.The goal is to generate one million scientific and engineering job. |

Re: Career Opportunities After M.Sc. Biotechnology hy, M.Sc Biotechnology is a good field in terms of that you are able to learn bioscience in an application oriented way. Here one learn how to programm as well as how a dna sequencing can be achived. In comming in terms of job: there are numbers of good companies those who recruite biotech students. Like : cipla, dabur, sun pharma etc. The main prospect of a biotechnologist is research. To go for research you can apear in GATE. For higher order UGC CSIR NET is always there. Every year a huge number of student qualify in NET who are from biotech field. Without these exams one can join reseach if he or she hold some good refarencefrom a proffesor. Biotech student can even apear in Life Science GATE which is also considered as a ever green field. So it is better try to get some referance from your proffesors. In this way chances for you to get into the research field get increased many folds. Best of luck. |

Biotechnology career oportunities after doing m.sc in biotechnology are huge since this field is growing every . you have a good career ahead . you can get yourself appointed as a scientist as this is the most desirable job in research and development sector. every year a huge number of biotech student are employed as research associates as well . you can clear NET exam also and can go to teaching field also. further if you do phd or mba you can also become auditor in this field .so best of luck. |

Re: Career Opportunities After M.Sc. Biotechnology if you guys have financial aid you better go for phD .If not immediately try jobs either and food and beverages or food industries ,without experience there are no oppurtunities in clinical and R&D sectors guys hurry up !!!!! |

Biotechnology nothing. there are very less opportunities for msc biotech. i did my msc biotech in 2010 but still couldnt find a job. there are less openings in pharma n biotech companies. and to go into research one have to clear csir net/gate/dbt/icmr. if u are looking for corporate jobs go for mba than msc. |

Re: Career Opportunities After M.Sc. Biotechnology Sir I did B Sc in Biochemistry & M Sc in Biotechnology in 2004 After that i worked 2 years as lecturer and 2.5 years as a microbiologist. Currently i am looking for the job preferable from pune. So where to look for the opportunities? Also is there any job oriented courses in this field ? |

You can go to the academic career field by joining as a lecturer in a reputed biotechnology institute. There are also opportunities of doing further research works in this field. In the R&D section, you can develop new drug composition under guidance and helping the drug research centers. Different pharmaceutical companies have huge demand for trained and skilled biotech candidates in several sectors of the industry like marketing, production, management etc. So it depends on you which way you want to go now. |
