Re: Can I give the exam for IPS after passing BSc 1st year Biology?

dear friend,
You are pursuing B.sc course now, and you have done 1st year..
Then you will not be eligible for the IPS exam wright now..
To appear in IPS exam you have to complete the B.Sc course first...

IPS exam is a civil service exam, which is conducted by UPSC every year to recruit the students for police service...

Eligibility for IPS exam:-------------------->>

::The candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade from a recognized university..
::Final year candidates are also eligible to apply for the exam..
::Age should be in between 21-30 years.
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years..
::Candidate must be a citizen of India..
::Candidate should be physically fit..

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill.
As you are in 1st year now, then you will not be eligible for IPS exam..
But while you are in final year of your B.Sc course , then you can apply for IPS exam..

So, first try to complete the B.Sc course..

All the best.

You are in a tearing hurry!

To appear for the IPS (or Civil Services Examination), you need to be a graduate in any discipline. So, be patient and complete your BSc with flying colours.

You may also use the spare time in the remaining two years for serious preparation for the exam.

For your information, you can go through the detailed advertisement from the UPSC website (http://www.upsc.gov.in) or Employment News. Past question papers are also available in the same website.

All the best.
