Re: Exam for becoming a Pilot for B.Tech student?

It is simple test like that of admission test to some reputed college. Yeah but that are national level entrance because various students all across the country apply and appears for that.

For engineers having good academic record in there B.Tech/B.E. written test is not an issue. The main thing which is tougher enough to pass are Interview and Medical Fitness test.

These are conducted by Service Selection Board, and based on appeared candidates feedbacks the interview and fitness test creates a big trouble to get through.

For that you may take coaching for SSB.

There would also be Pilot Aptitude Battery Test famously known as BAP. It is nothing more then That is nothing but to check candidates proficiency in Mathematics, English and some basics of air navigation, which consists of subjects like- Physics, Geography, Airodynamics etc.

Entrance also depends upon entry scheme, through which scheme you are applying for recruitment.

all the best..................

You can write CDS exam for this
CDS: Combined Defence Service Examination (CDSE) is conducted by upsc (http://www.upsc.gov.in) twice every year for entry into all three defence services.
Eligibility criteria is different for all three. For ARMY- graduation in any background, with at least 60% aggregate Age Limit- 25 years. For Navy: B.sc(with Physics and Mathematics) or B.tech/B.E Age Limit- 22 years. For Airforce- B.E./B.Tech,graduate in any decipline with Physics or Mathematics at class 12 Age Limit- 23 years.

Worried for IAF Entrance Exam

Well there is nothing special to discuss upon entrance for entry into IAF, because that entrance are not like that of UPSC, PSC etc.

Entrance also depends upon entry scheme, through which scheme you are applying for recruitment.

For example:-

CDS: Combined Defence Service Examination (CDSE) is conducted by upsc (http://www.upsc.gov.in) twice every year for entry into all three defence services.
Eligibility criteria is different for all three.
