No, You can not apply for the NET examination after completing 12th std. To appear in the NET exam you need the following eligibility criteria. Educational Qualification :- The minimum educational qualification for the UGT NET examination is Master degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent examination from University/Institutions recognize by UGT and 50% marks in the master degree for the candidates belong to SC/ST/PD category. So according to eligibility criteria you are not eligible for the NET exam. If you are interested in the NET exam then continue your study in the graduation and then do master degree course after this you can apply for the NET examination. Re: NET exam for 12th standard student from Arts stream? I would like to tell you that you cannot appear for NET exams now because: candidate must have a master degree to apply for NET exams. but You can try it later when you will hold a master degree in your hand. good luck |

Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and Physically Handicapped (PH)/ Visually Handicapped (VH) candidates who have secured at least 50% marks in Master's degree (or equivalent) examination |

Re: NET exam for 12th standard student from Arts stream? Hello friend, To be eligible for the UGC NET, you must hold a masters degree from a recognized university. Candidates belonging to general category must have scored 55% and candidates belonging to SC/ST category, must have scored 50% for the same. Therefore, as per your present qualification, you wont be eligible for the exam. For further information, you may refer to the official website of UGC. |
