Please note that # In order to become Income Tax Officer, you are required to crack the SSC Combined Graduate Examination. # Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an autonomous body which is primarily meant for filling up of vacant posts in ministries as well as office of Central Government across the country. # Eligibility conditions for this exam: * Graduation in any field. * No need of any fixed percentage but only pass marks required. # Scheme of Examination: * Tier I Examination (200 marks) = Reasoning Ability (50 Marks) = General Studies (50 marks) = English Language (50 marks) = Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks) * Tier II Examination (400 marks) = General Studies (200 marks) = Quantitative Aptitude (200 marks) * Skill Test/Interview # The prescribed age limit for this examination: * 18-27 years for General category * 18-30 years for OBC category * 18-37 years for SC/ST category * 18-37 years for Persons with Disability # To know more about the SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination, you may visit the official website of SSC which is http://ssc.nic.in |

Re: What is the qualification of income tax officer? Income tax officer exam is conducted by SSC under CGL exam in every year. For apply SSC CGL(Combined Graduate Level) examination the minimum Education qualification is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. Final year student can also eligible to apply for it. Age limit:- Age should be between 20 years to 28 years for General category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years And SC/ST category candidates 5 years. Selection procedure:- - Written Exam - Interview |

Re: What is the qualification of income tax officer? To be a Tax inspector you should be a graduate first then you have to appear in the SSC CGL( combined Graduate level) exam. Eligibility criteria for CGL and qualification- Candidate should be a graduate from a recognized university in ant stream. Candidate should be Indian Candidate age must fall between 29 years and with age relaxation 32 years for OBC and 34 for the SC/ST candidates as relaxation is 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST. Candidate should qualify the CGL exam. Exam pattern is- Preliminary exam Mains exam Document verification Interview Preliminary exam-: Math, English, Reasoning, General knowledge. Time - 2 hours and 200 marks each of 50 marks subject. Mains Exam- mains exam is of two papers are-: Math, English- Time 2-2 hours per paper and 200 each total 400 marks Then after qualifying exam document verification and interview is taken and after it to the selected candidates job letters for joining are allotted. This examination is conducted for recruitment of various positions like Inspector of Income Tax/ Central Excise / Prevention Officer / Examiner / Assistant Enforcement Officer / Divisional Account / Sub- Inspector / Junior Account / Sub inspector in CBI / Statistical Investigator Gr.II. Minimum qualification required to apply for this examination is completing a degree course from a recognized Institution. Your age should be in between 21 to 27 years. Age relaxation- Upper age relaxation for OBC is upto 3 years. For SC/ ST , it is upto 5 years. For PWD it is upto 10 years. Pattern for CGL exam:-
