Re: Can I join NDA if my foot is flat from bottom? NDA is an entrance exam which is conducted by the Upsc every year for the following three forces:- Indian Army. indian Navy. Indian Air force. The eligibility criteria for this exam is to have a successfully passed out in the class 12th in any stream from a recognised board with good percentile. The student must be physically fit. The age of appearing students must be between 16.5 years to 19 years to be eligible for this exam. As you are telling That you have flat bottom foot.So if you have do not any problem of working your foot like standing simple , walking , running, jumping etc. So there should not be any kind of problem in this.But if you have any of the problem from your flat bottom foot then you may face problem during the physical test of this exam. |

SIR, Iam flat footed but iam the fastest runner of my school and can jump high enough,can satnd on toes but the thing is there is nothing i cant do but my foot looks flat. I hope the professionals understand because thats why they are called professionals.If i dont get in NDA only for my FLAT FOOT.. i thnk INDIAN MILITARY will loose respect from one of the billions and thats me. NO OFFENCE THANKYOU |

Re: Can I join NDA if my foot is flat from bottom? I m raunak and i hve one flat foot and other one is ok...there is some gap in between my knees so sir is there any solution to overcome the flat foot problem by doing some special exercises... |

Re: Can I join NDA if my foot is flat from bottom? Dear Student, In case of entering the army you are screened out if you are flat footed. Since NDA is also a way of entering the Army so you will be screened out during the Medical Checkups. The other criteria for being eligible for NDA are as follows:- Minimum Height :- 1.Army wings :- Acceptable height is 157.5 cms . 2.Navy wings :- Acceptable height is 157 cms . 3.Air force :- Acceptable height is 162.5 cms . Fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cms. Additional Requirements :- -Running : 2 to 4 Km. in 15 minutes -Skipping -Pushups : Minimum 20 each Sit-ups -Chin ups : Minimum 08 -Rope Climbing : 3 to 4 meters. You have to pass 12th examination from a recognized School or have an equivalent qualification. Those who are appearing in the final year of 12th exam are also eligible to apply for the NDA. You must have a minimum 16.5 years and maximum 19 years and there is no relaxation given to any reserved categories .Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply . Good Luck!!! |

Re: Can I join NDA if my foot is flat from bottom? Hi NDA stands for the National Defense Academy. This Exam is organized and conducted twice every year in the months of April and August. The body behind this is UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)..as it conducts all the Class 1 officers entrance exams for their recruitment. Now there are certain Basic Eligibility Criteria's to sit for the NDA exams and also to clear it. After clearing there is a round of Physical examination, checkup and test which is also very tough to go through. Finally you would be interviewed by the SSB for the final selection in the Indian Army, Navy or Air Force. Now as you mentioned that your foot is flat from the bottom, since I cannot see it physically, I would be unable to tell you what can happen exactly. However if it is a kind of deformity, then you will not be able to pass that test. But if it is nothing to be noticed, you can walk, run, jog, jump, skip fine that I guess there should not be any problem. Firstly I would advice you to clear the NDA written, and then try for the Physical Test. Hope for the best Regards RANJEET |
