Re: What AIR should I expect with around 63 marks in GATE 2015 Mechanical? 63 marks are good marks you may get a rank of around 2000 on these marks and it may help you in getting admission in good college i do not think you can get any PSU on these marks but yes you can get any IIT for M.tech admission. |

Re: What AIR should I expect with around 63 marks in GATE 2015 Mechanical? Hi, All India Rank(AIR) in GATE in any stream is calculated based on GATE score. GATE score is calculated as per a formula which is related to Cutoff marks of that particular year. For different streams cutoff marks is different. Last year in GATE for Mechanical Engineering cutoff marks was 35. In this year also cutoff marks are expected to be around 30-35 marks. If so the after scoring 63 in GATE you can expect AIR between 2000-2500. It is good rank in GATE.You can get admission in IIT Guwahati to study M.Tech and eligible for scholarship. |

Re: What AIR should I expect with around 63 marks in GATE 2015 Mechanical? If you get a percentile of above 90 then you will have good chance of getting a PSU job. It depends on your category also, if you belong to General category then normally a higher percentile will be required for getting a PSU job. If you belong to a reserved category then you might get job in a PSU with a low percentile compared to a General category candidate. Admission will be affected by other factors too like the stream for which you want to get a job. |

What AIR should I expect with around 63 marks in GATE 2015 Mechanical? I wrote the exam in 3rd slot, 1st feb, 2015, 2nd half. I'm expecting to get around 63 marks. What AIR should I expect? Do I have any chance of getting into any good PSU? I'm from Mechanical branch. |
