Re: JEE Main and Advanced 2015 age criteria

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Exam.

It is the entrance test conducted by Indian Institute of technology for selection of candidate to the undergraduate courses of engineering that Bachelor of Technology or engineering.

As per 2015 notification of JEE, candidates who have passed or appearing for 10+2 with physics, mathematics and chemistry as compulsory subjects can apply for the exam.

Age limit in notification : You must be born on or after 01/10/1990 for general and obc candidates.

As your date of birth is in 1992, you can apply for this entrance test.

It has two stages. First one is the JEE Mains and second one is JEE Advanced.

Re: JEE Main and Advanced 2015 age criteria

Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1990 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PwD candidates who are born on or after October 01, 1985 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate will only be considered.

Now being born in 1992, you will certainly be eligible to appear in the exam in 2015 despite of any category you belong too.

JEE stands for the Joint Entrance Exam. This exam is generally conducted for getting the admission into undergraduate engineering course.

Candidates after completing their 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Maths) subjects are eligible to sit for this examination.

Only those candidates are eligible, who have been born on or after 1st October 1990 (For general and OBC category).

And for those SC/ST/PWD category candidates must have been born on or after 1st October 1985.

As you have mentioned that you were born on 6th august 1992 then, you can surely apply for this exam.

One can attempt for JEE exam maximum twice time in consecutive years.
