Re: Sociology undergraduate course in tezpur central university No, Tezpur University doesn't provide Sociology undergraduate course, instead it provides Post graduation degree M.A in Sociology and the intake is 30 nos and one must give the entrance exam conducted by the University to get admission into M.A in Sociology. |

Re: Sociology undergraduate course in tezpur central university Tezpur University is a Central University, which is located in Tezpur in the North Eastern state of Assam.  The university has four schools of studies which is divided into 18 departments and three special academic centers: School of Sciences School of Humanities & Social Sciences School of Management Sciences School of Engineering Regarding Sociology course at Tezpur University: Tezpur University introduced the two-year M.A programme and doctoral programme in sociology. The course deals with advanced areas of sociology which include courses, among others, on advanced Sociological Theories, Social Demography, Industrial Sociology, Sociology of Development, Sociology of Northeast India, Sociology of Governance. You must undertake 20 courses out of which four are Inter Disciplinary Courses to complete M.A in Sociology course. The optional courses include Sociology of Medicine, Social Statistics, Fieldwork Practicum, Sociology of Culture and Mass Media, Criminology, Environmental Sociology, and Gender and Society.
