Re: How to prepare for different PSU exams? What are the important subjects of electronics engineering? PSU stands for Public Sector Undertaking . Some of the PSU are BHEL ,NTPC,SAIL etc .Recruitment in these PSU are done on the basis of the GATE ( Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering) entrance examination scores . The top ranker of the GATE examination are given the change to be recruited. But still they have to pass in the GD and PI ( Personal Interview) only then they are eligible . Generally for different stream there is different topics in PSU examination.For EC candidates few of them are:- * Microwave. *Electromagnetic Field theory . *Measurement. You are eligible for many more jobs :- Civil Services. Banking. CDS . SSC etc . |

The questions asked in Public Sector Undertakings exams is of objective type which requires good concepts of topics of your cores subjects. So, instead of mugging up things, try to understand them and solve questions on each and every topic. Important subjects for PSU for ECE candidates: ~~ Network theory. ~~Digital and analog electronics. ~~Electromagnetic field theory. ~~Measurement and Instrumentation. ~~Communication engineering. ~~Microwave. ~~Control systems. Entrance exams for you: ~~Civil Services examinations. ~~CDS exam. ~~GATE ~~Engineering services exam. |

There are so many public sector undertakings like NTPC, BHEL, SAIL, GAIL, AAI, ISRO, ONGC etc which take electronics engineers. In recent years, GATE that is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering has become the criteria for getting selected or short listed for recruitment purposes. Candidates who secure ranks in the order of top hundreds upto 500 ranks are called for group discussion and Personal Interview in different PSUs. Second advantages of GATE exam is that it gives you chance to pursue master's degree in Technology from Indian Institute of Technology. How to prepare: The different subjects for Electronics Engineers to prepare for GATE or PSU exams are as below: >>Network theory. >>Analog and Digital Electronics >>Microprocessor >>Electromagnetic theory. >>Measurement and Intrumentation >>Control systems.
