IPS examination will be conducted in 4 stages: >>Prelims >>Mains >>Interview >>Fitness test (medical ). However, you can apply for written test, but can not qualify medical test(final round). |

You will become eligible for the Indian Police Services physical fitness test only if you clear the all the three stages of examination: ~~Preliminary exam ~~Main examination ~~Personal interview. After that your rank should be enough for getting IPS post. However in physical test only weight, height, chest and visual standards criteria needs to be met as per UPSC. So, do not worry , you will be eligible with tow cuts in thighs. |

Re: Can I apply for IPS exam having two cuts in Thigh? IPS stands for the Indian Police Services. It comes under the Civil Services of Indian Government. To become IPS officer, you will have to clear the Civil Services examination. The eligibility criteria for this exam: >>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam. You can even apply if you have passing percentage of marks. The age limit is 21-30 years for general category candidates. Relaxation of three years to obc and five years to SC/ST category candidates. There are three stages of this exam: >>Preliminary exam >>Main examination >>Personal interview. When you will clear all these stages and if your rank enables you to get selected for Indian Police Services then only physical fitness test will be conducted. Yes, you will be eligible for the IPS even with cuts on high as this is not physical criteria for IPS. You need to satisfy height, weight, chest and visual standard criteria in IPS physical fitness test. For any more details about this exam, visit www.upsc.gov.in. |

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for IPS exam. Your age should be in between 21 years to 30 years for general candidates. Age relaxation is given below - 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates 3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates 10 years relaxation for PHC candidates 5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman Number of Attempts:- For open category:- 4 attempts For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts Physical fitness criteria for IPS exam:- Height For Men : 165 cm(AROUND) For Women :150 cm(AROUND) OBC /SC/ST : Male:160 cm and female :145 cm Chest Male candidates-84 (+ 5cm). Female candidates-79cm(+ 5cm). Eye Sight For Worse Eye :6/12 or 6/9 distant vision For good Eye :6/6 or 6/9 distant vision |

Can I apply for IPS exam having two cuts in Thigh? Well actually I want to know about actually i have two cut in my Thigh 4 and 3 inch so can i apply for ips exam |
